Privacy policy
What Tanker Vault stores about you, and why.
Browsing without an account
You can browse tanks without signing in. Tanker Vault then stores nothing about you. Your theme choice (light or dark) is kept only in your browser's local storage, never on our servers.
When you sign in
You sign in on Wargaming's own page with your PlayStation Network or Xbox account. Tanker Vault never sees or stores your password. Wargaming tells us who you are, and we store:
- your Wargaming console account ID,
- your console nickname (updated every time you sign in),
- your platform (PlayStation or Xbox), when Wargaming tells us,
- when your Tanker Vault account was created.
Wargaming also gives us a temporary access token. We use it once to confirm that the account is really yours, then end it right away. It is never stored. We do not read or store any private data from your Wargaming account.
We store this data to provide your account (the legal basis is our contract with you): to show your nickname and, in the future, your builds and comments.
Cookies
Tanker Vault uses only cookies that are strictly necessary, so it does not ask for consent:
- a short-lived sign-in cookie that protects the sign-in from forgery (removed after signing in, at most 10 minutes),
- session cookies that keep you signed in until you sign out.
There are no analytics, advertising, or tracking cookies.
Where your data is processed
Tanker Vault runs on Vercel (hosting) and Supabase (database and sign-in sessions) in the United States (US East). If you live in the European Union, signing in means your data is transferred to the United States. Wargaming handles the sign-in itself, as the identity provider.
Deleting your data
Signing out ends your session. Deleting your account and downloading your data from your settings are coming soon.
